Finishing Touches - (4.0)

This is a fairly complete list of manufacturers and suppliers. Everyone from Martha Stewart and Pier One Imports, to a long list of almost all the carpet manufacturers in the USA. Furniture makers, plumbing suppliers and home inspectors are also on this list-of-lists. For builders or decorators in need of quick access to the home pages of many different manufacturers, this is a good resource.

NAHB - (5.0)

The National Association of Homebuilders, home page. One of the largest and best trade organizations in the country, NAHB serves over 100,000 home builders and associate members (suppliers and sub- contractors) and has information on home building, apartment building, land development, and much, much more.

Remodeling - (3.5)

A site that offers some help for remodeling contractors, and those looking for someone to do remodeling for them. There is a search engine on the site to locate remodeling contractors, by zip code and by state (and then city). While the search doesn't show everyone qualified to do remodeling in a particular area, it does offer a few names of good contractors and this might be a help to some people.

Builder Magazine, On Line - (4.0)

This link goes to a building trade magazine called "Builder". This site offers lots of possibilities and is being improved as the months go by.

New England Classic Fine Wood Panel Systems

Offers some answers to questions about wood panel systems.

Countrywide Mortgage - (4.5)

This is a well organized site by Countrywide Mortgage company. It offers an on-line mortgage calculator, on-line insurance quotes and many other things related to home purchase. Could be helpful for those shopping for a home & home mortgage.

The home page of the building products division of GP. Information is available, follow the links. Can be slow loading at times.

Scholz Design - (5.0)

Scholz is an old company known for its outstanding home designs. This site allows you to order some of their plans (surf around, you'll find the plan page). These are very high-quality plan books. The plans are top-notch in both the style and function.

Coastal Home Plans

Unique coastal home plans for the coastal Carolinas (and beyond).

Rustic Wood Structures - (4.0)

A very nice site showing creative use of rustic wood to make garden gazebos and other things. Stylish sticks.

Design Basics Online

Design Basics Inc. is an award winning designer of single family homes. Established in 1983 and are located in Omaha, Nebraska. They offer over 800 one and two-story designs from 967 sqft. to 3999 sqft. They also represent Carmichael and Dame Designs.
